Graduate Hospital

Graduate Hospital, also called Southwest Center City, is named for a medical institution that is no longer in operation. Located south of South Street and west of Broad Street, Graduate Hospital is a walkable neighborhood filled with restaurants, bars, cafe, shops, and more. The stretch of South Street east of Broad has long been considered a draw for visitors, but Graduate Hospital’s western half is on the serious come-up thanks to ambitious restaurateurs and shop owners.

How to get there

Parking in Graduate Hospital is hard to come by. Lucky for you it's easy to get here on SEPTA! Take the Broad Street Line to Lombard-South or Bus Routes 7, 12 or 40.

Things To Do

The Odunde Festival celebrates African culture each year, continuing a more-than-40-year tradition. Area streets shut down to automobile traffic for this massive outdoor party, which features food, dancing and vendors.

Each October, Bloktoberfest offers food, drink and outdoor music along South Street West. Lining the streets, food trucks, craft tents and local businesses show off their wares amid the revelry.
