Welcome back to campus, Penn students! With the start of a new semester, you’ll probably be heading to the university bookstore to stock up on textbooks, supplies, UPenn swag, and whatever else a college student needs to survive. While you’re there, make sure to stop by the SEPTA Travel Center @Penn!
In case you haven’t already heard, the SEPTA Travel Center @Penn brings you everything you need to know on how to navigate the great city of Philadelphia [and beyond] without a car. Conveniently located in the Penn Bookstore, the SEPTA Travel Center opened in December 2016 as a collaborative effort from SEPTA and the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to providing information about SEPTA, the Center offers assistance with all forms of travel in and around Penn’s campus and the City, including the University’s transit service (Penn Transit), LUCY®, New Jersey Transit, Amtrak, Indego Bike Share and car sharing.
Since its opening in December 2016, the Travel Center has helped nearly 5,000 people on Penn's campus, varying from students, faculty, and visitors. One of the most exciting aspects of the Travel Center is that it is able sell SEPTA Key Cards. Since sales began in June 2017, the Travel Center has sold 2,190 Key Cards. That's over 300 Key Cards sold each month!
Whether you're a Penn student, a employee on campus, or just happen to be in University City, stop by the SEPTA Travel Center. We'd love to help you!
