Now Hiring: Transit Police Officers

SEPTA held a Transit Police Officer Information Session on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at SEPTA Headquarters. This event was for candidates interested in learning more about career opportunities as a SEPTA Transit Police Officer.
SEPTA’s General ManagerM/CEO Leslie Richards, Acting Transit Police Chief Charles Lawson, Chief of Human Resources Stephanie Deiger, and several current SEPTA Transit Police Officers joined the 2-hour evening event.
The 68 applicants in attendance learned about the hiring and selection process as well as responsibilities and wages. Wages increased over the summer in an effort to reward SEPTA Transit officers for their hard work and attract new candidates.
On September 10, these 68 applicants will join approximately 350 others at Belmont Plateau for a mandatory physical fitness test and agility run.
Applicants will then hear within 2-weeks if they are moving forward in the process. Graduation for this class is set for June 2023!
