After four fierce rounds - the SEPTA Final Four is set! Here are the match-ups:
West Trenton Line
The West Trenton Line [formerly the R3] is a Regional Rail line connecting Center City Philadelphia to the West Trenton section of Ewing Township, New Jersey. The line splits from the SEPTA Main Line at Jenkintown, running northeast.
The West Trenton Line makes 19 station stops including Temple University, Jenkintown, Rydal, Philmont, Langhorne, and Yardley. It is the third busiest line in the SEPTA Regional Rail network.
VERSUS
Route 35
Starting at the Wissahickon Transportation Center, Route 35 travels west on Main Street, then follows a large clockwise loop via Umbria Street, Ridge Avenue, Roxborough Avenue, Manayunk Avenue and Leverington Avenue back to Main and then to its start.
Originally designated Route Z in 1931, it was was renumbered Route 35 in 1967.
Route 89
Route 89 runs between Front & Dauphin Streets in Kensington and the Arrott Transportation Center. It connects to the Market-Frankford Line at multiple stations including Yok-Dauphin, Allegheny, Tioga, and Arrott Transportation Center.
Today you can catch Route 89 on Aramingo Avenue, Castor Avenue, and G Street. But [way] back in the day, you would catch it on Tioga and Venango Streets.
VERSUS
Route 10
Route 10 is a subway-surface trolley. Like many other SEPTA Trolleys, Route 10 starts its journey at 13th & Market. From there, it weaves through the winding trolley tunnels beneath Center City. Eventually Route10 makes its way above ground at the 36th Street Portal. In fact - it is the only subway-surface trolley to use the 36th Street Portal. It ends its journey at the Malvern Loop in Overbook, where it shares an off-street loop with the Route 46.
Route 10 is constantly moving - running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
