Now Arriving! New Validators on Regional Rail!

New hardware devices are being installed at Regional Rail stations and down and all around the system! Once these new validators are installed at every station, riders can use SEPTA Key Tix, the new and convenient way to pay with your smartphone! Followed by Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay!
And these new validators will also read your personal contactless credit/debit card - meaning you no longer need a SEPTA Key card.
Installation on the Manayunk/Norristown Line is close to completion. Next up is Chestnut Hill West and Chestnut Hill East followed by the Center City stations.
The target completion date is July 1, 2023. Once the install is complete, our teams will begin testing. Hoping to roll everything out on Regional Rail in Fall 2023.
These new validators are already fully installed on buses, trolleys, and Norristown High Speed Line cars and in Broad Street and Market-Frankford stations. SEPTA Key Tix is currently available on these modes. We're testing contactless credit cards and Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay now.
