Starting Monday, July 10, the fare validation procedures already in place for Weekday/PM travel (Monday-Friday, 3:00 - 7:00p) at Temple, Jefferson, Suburban, 30th Street, and University City Stations will change.
Tickets will be inspected and punched, by the Fare Collection Personnel located at the stairways to the train platforms, and returned to you. Punched tickets must be presented to the Conductor on the train for collection - place in seat ticket slot.
If you're using a TrailPass, you will still present your pass to the Fare Collection Personnel before going to the train platform. What's new is - Conductors will begin inspecting passes on the train - please have it visible either on your person or in seat ticket slot.
All customers traveling from Temple, Jefferson, Suburban, 30th Street, and University City Stations on weekdays between 3p and 7p must have a pre-paid fare (ticket or pass) before going to the train platform. Fares can be purchased at the Station Ticket Office.
Customers traveling with valid Reduced Fare and Senior Citizen identification, including SEPTA Key Cards, must pre-purchase the appropriate ticket and present the valid form of ID and ticket to the Fare Collection Personnel. The ticket will be inspected, punched and returned. The punched ticket will be collected by the Conductor on the train.
