Parks on Tap is Back!

Parks on Tap, Philadelphia's first and only traveling beer garden, is back for another season! On Wednesdays to Sundays through September 29, beer gardens will be popping up in public parks all over the city. This season, Parks on Tap will be visiting 23 different locations, serving up beer, food, and fun! Not only can get SEPTA get you to these parks – it can also help you save! The Azalea Garden is located between Boathouse Row and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The garden boasts various annuals and perennials such as daffodils, irises, crocuses, and tulips, as well as hosting over 150 species of azaleas and rhododendrons. Get there on Routes 38 or 43 or 49.
5/1-5/5 - Historic Rittenhouse Town
Located in Wissahickon Park, Historic Rittenhouse Town is the 1690 site of British North America's first paper mill. Take the Chestnut Hill West Line to Chelten Ave, or hop Routes 53 or 65.
Columbus Square is a vibrant community gathering place in the Passyunk Square neighborhood of South Philadelphia. Hop the Broad Street Line to Ellsworth-Federal.
Located in Germantown, Fernhill Park is a spacious, open field that's perfect friends, family, and pets. Take the Warminster Line to Wayne Junction or hop Bus Route XH.
The 350-acre FDR Park is located in South Philadelphia near the Sports Complex. Take the Broad Street Line to NRG Station or hop Routes 4 or 17.
Fisher Park is 23.3 acres of natural beauty located in the Olney section of Philadelphia. Take the Broad Street Line to Fern Rock Transportation Center or hop Routes 28, 47, or 70.
Schuylkill Banks is a Philadelphia riverfront destination for walkers, runners, bikers and relaxers. Parks on Tap will be held under the Walnut Street Bridge along the trail. Take Regional Rail to 30th Street, the Market-Frankford Line or Trolley to 30th Street, or Routes 7, 12, or 9.
The Belmont Plateau in West Fairmount Park provides one of the best views of the Philadelphia skyline. Get here by taking the Route 38 to the intersection of Belmont Avenue & S. Georges Hill Drive.
Campbell Square is a 3-acre park that lies in the heart of the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia. Get here on Routes 60 or 15.
6/26-6/30 - Matthias Baldwin Park
Matthias Baldwin Park is a historical site for what was once the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Now the site is a lovely park with impressive views of the city skyline. Get here on Routes 33 or 43.
7/3-7/6 - Shofuso Japanese & Garden
Shofuso Japanese House and Garden is a traditional-style Japanese house and nationally-ranked garden in Philadelphia’s West Fairmount Park that reflects the history of Japanese culture in Philadelphia. Get here on Routes 38, 40, 43 or 64.
Pastorius Park is a 16-acre gem nestled in the heart of residential Chestnut Hill. Take the Chestnut Hill West Line to St Martins or Highland or the Chestnut Hill East Line to Gravers or Wyndmoor.
The Discovery Center in East Fairmount Park was designed to preserve and protect an important resource for over 100 species of migratory birds on the Atlantic Flyway, and to provide public access and programming on 50 acres of parkland, including the 37-acre Strawberry Mansion Reservoir. Get there on Routes 3, 32, or 48.
7/24-7/28 - Fairmount Water Works
Along the Schuylkill River, Fairmount Water Works operated until 1902 and now houses a restaurant and education center. Get here on the Route 38.
Gorgas Park, located in Roxborough, is home to 250 trees and award-winning gardens. The Route 9 gets you right there!
8/7-8/11 - Dickinson Square Park
Dickinson Square is located in the Pennsport section of South Philadelphia, offering several basketball courts, swing sets, jungle gym. Get here on Routes 29 or 57.
With three baseball diamonds, a football field, and three soccer fields, the Northeast's Burholme Park is one of the Northeast's favorite parks for recreation. To get here on SEPTA, take the Fox Chase Line to Ryers Station.
McMichael Park is one of the only and most beautiful six acres of open green spaces in the East Falls section of Philadelphia. Routes K, R, or 32 drop you off right there!
West Philly's favorite park, Clark Park, covers nine acres of land, offering various trails, a basketball court, a playground, and more. Get here on SEPTA. Routes 13, 31 & 34 drop you right there!
Lemon Hill is a historic mansion with views of the Center City skyline and the Schuylkill River. Get there on Routes 7 or 48.
Fishtown's Penn Treaty Park is situated along the Delaware River, offering a panoramic view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. To get here on SEPTA, hop the Route 43 Bus or Route 15 Trolley.
In the heart of Manayunk lies Pretzel Park, complete with a pretzel statue to honor its name. Take the Manayunk/Norristown Line to Manayunk Station or hop the Route 9 there.
9/25-9/29 - Strawberry Mansion Bridge
The Strawberry Mansion Bridge is a steel arch bridge across the Schuylkill River near the Historic Strawberry Mansion. Located at Ford Drive and Strawberry Mansion Drive, the bridge serves as a link between East and West Fairmount Park, used by pedestrians, vehicles, horses, and bicycles. Get here on Routes 7 or 32.
