This morning we sold our one millionth Quick Trip! It all went down at the SEPTA Fare Kiosks at Dilworth Park. To celebrate, we surprised one lucky Quick Trip purchaser with his very own SEPTA Key card pre-loaded with a $100 Travel Wallet!! He also received a SEPTA swag bag filled with all of our favorites including tickets to Mirror Maze at The Franklin Institute and to the National Constitution Center. We're sure he's home now wearing a SEPTA t-shirt, replacing the laces in his shoes with his new ISEPTAPHILLY laces... 
The Eagles Pep Band was on hand to add some "pep" - playing classics like "Ticket to Ride" and of course "Fly Eagles Fly"! Even KYW-AM was there!
We love that SEPTA riders are making the switch — and a “quick” one at that — to the Quick Trip fare option. This new fare option, introduced in September 2016, gives riders the option to purchase their fare in the station without worrying about having a token or exact change beforehand. Plus not only can you use cash at the Fare Kiosks, you can also use a credit or debit card - game changer!
Quick Trips are all about convenience however if you know you're going to ride the system again, we recommend you get a SEPTA Key and load at least $10 to the Travel Wallet. Quick Trips do not offer a discounted fare - it's the same as paying cash ($2.50). Quick Trips can only be used on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines. And they can only be used at the station from where it is purchased and on the day it is purchased. And you can't get a transfer. And once you use it, it's done. Quick Trips cannot be reused.
With Travel Wallet, you can tap and go on the Broad Street and Market-Frankford Lines, on buses, trolleys and the Norristown High Speed Line. That tap will cost you just $2 and if you transfer - that second tap is just $1. SEPTA Key is reusable, reloadable and get this - replaceable - if lost or stolen as long as you register it online. Today, if you lose your paper pass or your pack of tokens, you're out of luck. Lose your SEPTA Key, as long as it's registered - the value on the card is not lost.
