Suburban Love Pop-Up Beer Garden

June 4, 2018

La Cabra Brewing serves a wide range of craft beer brewed on-site alongside delicious Latin-inspired gastropub fare. Their 7 barrel brewhouse located in a historic building-turned-brewery/gastropub in Berwyn, allows La Cabra to produce a solid line-up of beers that reflects the seasons and constantly changing tastes in beer.

What we love most about La Cabra - is their proximity to SEPTA! They are located ACROSS THE STREET from the Berwyn Train Station on the Paoli/Thorndale Line. Making it easy for the Main Line suburbanites to leave their car at home and the driving to SEPTA. Also makes it easy for the Center City dwellers to venture out - it's only a 45 minute ride (or less if you catch an express train) to go from Suburban Station to Berwyn on Regional Rail.

We also love the fact that La Cabra offers a Perk to anyone with a SEPTA TrailPass, TransPass, One Day Independence Pass, or SEPTA Key. Flash your Pass and receive half off your first beer!

And speaking of LOVE...

On Sunday, 6/10, from 1p to 5p, As part of Philly Beer Week and to show the Suburbs some love, La Cabra Brewing has invited 9 local breweries and 1 cidery to participate in the First Annual Suburban Love Pop-Up Beer Garden! Featuring not only beer but also live music and food! And get this - they are offering a discount to anyone with a SEPTA TrailPass, TransPass, One Day Independence Pass, or SEPTA Key - $5 off an unlimited sampler glass or 1 free pint token (a $5 value)!

They are expecting a big crowd, so they are encouraging people to come by Regional Rail. La Cabra Brewing is right across the street from the Berwyn Train Station on the Paoli/Thorndale Line but please note due to an Amtrak construction project, Shuttle Buses will replace Weekend Trains between Thorndale and Bryn Mawr Stations. Please check out the Sunday timetable linked below or posted at stations. During construction Inbound (toward Center City) buses depart EARLIER than regularly scheduled trains. Outbound trains depart Center City Stations at the regularly scheduled times

Your safety is important to us. Due to a PennDOT improvement project, the Lancaster Ave. Bridge is closed while repair work takes place. This is an active right of way and that Amtrak trains operate through this area without stopping. For your safety and the safety of others - DO NOT CROSS THE TRACKS. Please only use the designated pedestrian pathways to access the station platforms at Berwyn and be alert when using the station pedestrian bridge.

Any questions - comment below or send us an email at iseptaphilly@septa.org or call 215-580-7800.

See you there!! Cheers!
