Kids Ride Free on SEPTA

October 13, 2020

In case you missed it, effective July 1, 2020, children under the age of 12 ride free on SEPTA when accompanied by an adult.

This change brings big savings to families that like to travel together on SEPTA and it also means children under 12 do not need their own SEPTA Key card.

The cost to hop the Broad Street Line to the game and back for a family of four - goes from $16 (assuming everyone has a SEPTA Key card) to just $8! It will cost you 3X that to park!

Paired with free transfers on transit - dropping off your kids just got easier - and cheaper too.

Now you can drop your child off at school ($2 for you; $0 for child), grab a coffee, and hop a connecting route to work - for free!

And did you know riding the bus, trolley, and/or the subway is 10X safer than driving? Riding Regional Rail is 18X safer than driving!

So next time you GO on SEPTA - bring the whole family!
