In case you missed it - heading out with the kids on SEPTA is easier [and less expensive!] than ever! Last summer – SEPTA announced that children 11 and under ride free when accompanied by an adult. That – along with free transfers and the better weather – make a daytime trip in the coming weeks a must-do.
For the first time ever - Dilworth Park has an outdoor roller rink! Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink's retro-inspired design features a checkerboard floor and market lights. A colorful installation of overhead hula-hoops – designed and fabricated by Philadelphia’s Lucky Dog Studio – adds even more whimsy to the space. It's fun for all ages! And for the adults - there's Air Grille's Pop-Up Beer Garden - just steps away from the rink. There's also the Dilworth Park Café - which will also be open with a variety of options, including desserts and snacks for the kids.
It couldn't be easier to get there on SEPTA! Hop the Market-Frankford Line or Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 & 36 to 15th Street, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 or 125 or Regional Rail to Suburban Station.
And remember– riding the bus, trolley and/or subway is 10X safer than driving. Regional Rail is 18X safer!
And when you ride - remember to keep your mask 😷 over your mouth and nose and stay socially distanced!
