Beginning Saturday, 1/27, SEPTA will replace equipment and improve elevator controllers, door devices, and other operational features for the Southbound (toward AT&T Station) and Northbound (toward Fern Rock) elevators. The work, taking place between January and March 2018, will take only one elevator out at a time.
Phase 1 begins Saturday, 1/27 with the Southbound Elevator taken out of service. The Northbound (toward Fern Rock) Elevator will remain in service. Please follow the "Alternate Accessibility Plan" during construction:
To Enter the System
Take NORTHBOUND (toward Fern Rock) LOCAL Broad Street Line train to North Philadelphia Station
Cross over to the Southbound platform for LOCAL service toward AT&T Station
To Exit the System
Take SOUTHBOUND (toward AT&T Station) LOCAL Broad Street Line train to Girard Station
Cross over to the Northbound (toward Fern Rock) platform for LOCAL service to Cecil B. Moore Station
As an alternate to Broad Street Line, customers can take Route 4 or 16 Buses (board at Cecil B. Moore Avenue and North Broad Street) for southbound service along Broad Street.
The Southbound Elevator is scheduled to return to service on Monday, 2/19 and Phase 2 will begin with the Northbound Elevator being taken out of service. Please look for additional signage with Alternate Accessibility information.
