CollegeFest Weekend 2021

Campus Philly, the non-profit organization that fuels inclusive economic growth by empowering diverse college students and recent graduates to explore, live and work in Greater Philadelphia, will welcome 9,000+ new and returning college students to its annual (reimagined, weekend-long) CollegeFest celebration on both Saturday, September 11 and Sunday, September 12, 2021.
More than 25 museums, cultural institutions, activities, and events (full list here) will offer free admission and experiences throughout the weekend, exclusively for college students who sign up for CollegeFest. Attendees will also be able to ride SEPTA Regional Rail, subway, bus, trolley, and Philly PHLASH for free - making it easier than ever for college students to travel to and around Philadelphia!
For the first time in CollegeFest history, students attending schools just outside of Philadelphia will be able to ride SEPTA Regional Rail for free to travel to and from the city, providing an ideal introduction to the accessibility and affordability of visiting Philadelphia’s arts and cultural activities, many of which offer year-round student discounts. With participating venues all across the city, CollegeFest attendees will be able to ride SEPTA to visit and explore different neighborhoods, museums, and activities, all at no cost to them, giving them more opportunities to find their fit and learn about their new city.
“Campus Philly is elated to partner with SEPTA and offer free rides to college students to travel to CollegeFest, and navigate the free activations all weekend long,” said Campus Philly President Dr. Jennifer Johnson Kebea. “We’re thrilled to provide our college partners including Villanova, West Chester University, Saint Joseph’s, Penn State Abington, Widener, Salus, and more with an efficient and affordable way to get their students to and from the city, while also giving all college students the ultimate introduction to SEPTA as they kick off their fall semester in the Philadelphia region.
Weekend highlights include:
• Saturday, 9am-12pm, Citizens hub branch at 1835 Market Street: students will meet the Phillie Phanatic (10:30 –11:30 a.m.) and enjoy free breakfast and giveaways
• Saturday and Sunday, 11am-3:30pm, outside Franklin Institute: the Dunkin cruiser will provide free iced coffee, plus $3 gift cards to CollegeFest participants
• Saturday and Sunday, 10am-5pm, at museums all around the city (full list here): free admission to museums, activities, and events for CollegeFest attendees
