April 2018 Regional Rail Schedule Change

The April 29, 2018 schedule change includes adjustments to train departure times for the Airport, Chestnut Hill East, Chestnut Hill West, Fox Chase, Trenton, and Wilmington/Newark Lines. All other Regional Rail lines will operate on the current schedule (customers should still refer to the timetable with the January 14, 2018 effective date).
Saturday and Sunday service will not change as part of the April 29 schedule change.
As part of our on-going campaign to streamline resource use and to help promote the many other ways you can get schedule information, we are not printing paper timetables for the April 29 Regional Rail schedule change.
Major changes to service are listed below; however, customers should still refer to the ONLINE timetables with the March 29, 2018 effective date for complete service information.
Changes include an adjustment to train numbers and continuing service. Customers should still refer to the new timetable for complete service information.
INBOUND (towards Center City) SERVICE:
Train #4758 (previously #9450) departing Airport Terminals E &F at 5:07 p.m., will now offer continued service to Chestnut Hill East stations with an additional stop at Wayne Junction Station
OUTBOUND (towards Airport Terminals) SERVICE:
Train #1457 (previously #9457) will no longer stop at Temple University and Jefferson Stations. This train will still depart Suburban Station at 6:25 p.m.
Changes include significant adjustments to departure times for most inbound and select outbound trains. Select trains will now depart EARLIER than previously scheduled.
INBOUND (towards Center City) SERVICE:
Train #705, departing Chestnut Hill East at 5:45 a.m., will now depart at 5:40 a.m., 5 minutes EARLIER at all stations
Train #725, departing Chestnut Hill East at 9:30 a.m., will now depart at 9:21 a.m., 9 minutes EARLIER at all stations
Train #731, departing Chestnut Hill East at 10:20 a.m., will now depart at 10:15 a.m., 5 minutes EARLIER at all stations
Train #735, departing Chestnut Hill East at 12:29 p.m., has been replaced by NEW Train #6735, departing Chestnut Hill East at 12:45 p.m. This train will no longer offer continued service to Trenton Transit Center
NEW Train #727 will depart Chestnut Hill East at 1:13 p.m. This train will offer continued service to Trenton Transit Center
Train #6737, departing Chestnut Hill East at 1:35 p.m., will be replaced by NEW train #737 and will depart Chestnut Hill East at 1:51 p.m. with continued service to Trenton Transit Center
Train #783, departing Chestnut Hill East at 2:42 p.m., will now depart at 2:50 p.m., 8 minutes LATER at all stations
Train #743, departing Chestnut Hill East at 3:40 p.m., will now depart at 3:48 p.m., 8 minutes LATER at all stations
Train #7841, departing Chestnut Hill East at 4:36 p.m., will now depart at 4:40 p.m., 4 minutes LATER at all stations
Changes to Evening/Late Night Service:

Train #769, departing Chestnut Hill East at 8:20 p.m., will now depart at 8:22 p.m., between 4-6 minutes LATER at select stations

Train #7865, departing Chestnut Hill East at 10:17 p.m., will now depart at 10:31 p.m., 14 minutes LATER at all stations

Train #6779, departing Chestnut Hill East at 12:28 a.m., will now depart at 12:33 a.m., 5 minutes LATER at all stations
OUTBOUND (towards Chestnut Hill East) SERVICE:
Train #2720, departing Suburban station at 10:13 a.m., will be extended from Temple University and will serve Wayne Junction to Chestnut Hill East
Train #734, the 11:38 a.m. departure from Suburban station is replaced by NEW train #2734, and will depart 11 minutes LATER
Changes to Evening Trains:

Train #6752, the 4:11 p.m. departure will be replaced by train #752 departing at 4:17 p.m., 6 minutes LATER

Train #758, the 5:36 p.m. departure will be replaced by train #4758, departing 1 minute EARLIER

Train #8764, previously departing Suburban at 6:51 p.m., will now depart at 7:03 p.m., up to 12 minutes LATER at all stations

Train #768, previously departing Suburban at 7:31 p.m., will now depart at 7:23 p.m., up to 12 minutes EARLIER at all stations

Train #772, departing Suburban at 8:46 p.m., will now depart at 8:49 p.m., 3 minutes LATER at all stations

Train #774, departing Suburban at 9:29 p.m., will now depart at 9:38 p.m., up to 9 minutes LATER at all stations

Train #776, departing Suburban at 10:27 p.m., will now depart at 10:19 p.m., 8 minutes EARLIER at all stations
Changes include major adjustments to one inbound and two outbound trains.
INBOUND (towards Center City) SERVICE:
Train #8764, departing Chestnut Hill West at 6:13 p.m., will now depart at 6:25 p.m., 12 minutes LATER at all stations
OUTBOUND (towards Chestnut Hill West) SERVICE:
Train #7841, departing Suburban at 5:12 p.m., will now depart at 5:16 p.m., 4 minutes LATER at all stations
CHANGE TO LATE NIGHT TRAIN #7865, departing Suburban at 10:53 p.m., will now depart at 11:07 p.m., 14 minutes LATER at all stations
Trains will operate as previously scheduled; however, customers should still refer to the new timetable for complete service information.
OUTBOUND (toward Fox Chase) SERVICE:
Train #7842, departing Suburban at 4:08 p.m., has been renumbered to #6842 and will originate at 30th Street Station to improve on time performance
Changes include significant adjustments to most trains, including:
EARLIER departure times for many AM Trains
LATER departure times (between 15 and 17 minutes LATER) for many Midday Trains
Changes to Midday Service (9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.): Due to Amtrak construction, INBOUND trains will not stop at Tacony and Bridesburg stations. As an alternate, customers have the following options:

Customers should take Bus Routes 73 or 84 to Frankford Transportation Center for connections to the Market Frankford Line for INBOUND service

SEPTA Bus Route 84 to Holmesburg Junction Station for inbound rail service to Center City.

Train #2720, departing Newark at 8:58 a.m., will now offer continued service to the Chestnut Hill East Line
Train #2734 (previously #9234), departing Wilmington at 10:56 a.m., has been renumbered and will now offer continued service to the Chestnut Hill East Line
