We have some excellent photographers in our region, ISEPTAPHILLYers.
How do we know? Because we see your photos! We love nothing more than perusing all of the SEPTA-related hashtags and seeing the excellent shots from our city’s citizens. We love photos of vehicles. We love photos from vehicles. We love pictures of the skyline with elevated train tracks visible, and we love a photo-bomb from a bus.
And we love seeing everyone else’s perspective.
Try as we might, we can’t always get out to every corner of the city on any given day. But when loyal SEPTA riders post their pictures, we get to see the city from their eyes. That’s why we encourage you to add #ISEPTAPHILLY to your posts, to add to this great SEPTA arsenal.
Have a particular picture you’d like to showcase?
We cannot guarantee that we will post every picture we receive. Sometimes, it will be because of rule infractions (for example, we cannot post a picture that we think was taken unsafely), and sometimes, it may be a timing issue. But we still implore all of you Philly photographers to send us your SEPTA best!
But speaking of safety, please keep in mind our SEPTA Safety Guidelines.
SEPTA reminds photographers and videographers that taking photos and video on platforms can be dangerous. “Tripods can be tripping hazards to passengers entering and exiting trains. Lights on cameras and flashes can also be a distraction to or momentarily blind engineers.” SEPTA welcomes photographers and videographers who safely take photos or video of the Authority’s vehicles and stations. For information on SEPTA’s film and video policy and shooting photos and video, contact SEPTA Media Relations at 215-580-7842.
For motivation and inspiration, we’ll share some of our favorite regrams from the past year.
So be sure to tag us on Instagram @SEPTAPHILLY and also #ISEPTAPHILLY.
And feel free to email us any images you’d like to show off, and please tell us the handle to which we should give credit.
