Puppies Ride SEPTA

This Saturday, 3/11, eight puppies from Montgomery County 4-H Seeing Eye Puppy Club will take their first trips on mass transit! These service dogs in-training will be riding SEPTA’s Route 96 bus from Lansdale, headed for the Montgomeryville Mall.
Service animals and their trainers regularly ride SEPTA as part of their obedience and socialization training. The trip on the Route 96 will assist puppies in completing their training before they are matched with their owners.
The puppies riding the Route 96 are owned by The Seeing Eye, which has partnered with people who are blind and enhancing their independence, dignity, and self-confidence through the use of Seeing Eye dogs. There are nearly 16,000 specially bred and trained dogs throughout the United States and Canada.
Spectators are welcome to watch as the puppies and their trainers board and depart the Route 96. They will be boarding the bus at Lansdale Regional Rail Station at 9:37a and arriving at the Montgomeryville Mall at approximately 9:46a.
