It’s time for Pride, ISEPTAPHILLYers!
Philly Pride, to be exact, is this Sunday, June 10th. This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of PrideDay. In addition to Philly Pride’s usual awesome collection of sponsors, this year’s headlining entertainer is the beloved Margaret Cho!
So don’t miss a second. And you don’t have to! Because SEPTA makes it simple to get to every stop along the festivities.
The 2018 Philly Pride Parade starts at 11:30AM in the heart of the Gayborhood at 13th and Locust. The parade procession then makes its way to the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. The festival gates open at Noon, and the parade procession should reach the Penn’s Landing Festival by approximately 1:30PM.
It’s so easy to get to all of this on SEPTA. If you’d like to walk the entire parade route, gather in the Gayborhood. Get there on the Broad Street Line to Walnut-Locust, Market-Frankford Line or Trolley to 13th Street, or Bus Routes 9, 12, 21, 23, 42, or 45.
Skipping the procession and heading right for the festival at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing? No problem, you have options! Take the Market-Frankford Line to 2nd Street or Bus Routes 12, 21, 25, 42, 17, 33, or 48.
Wherever you start your festivities, make the day as seamless as possible. Avoid the lines for the kiosks, and get (or reload) your SEPTA Key beforehand! If you’re unsure of how to do this, have questions about where to get a Key Card, what you can load onto it, how to reload it when it’s empty, click here.
And don’t forget – a SEPTA Key Card comes with Perks! There are SEPTA Perks all over the city (and in the counties beyond), including along the parade route. Check out the extensive list of places that offer discounts or free gifts to you when you flash your SEPTA Key.
Enjoy the festivities… and happy Pride!
