Service Advisory | Philadelphia Marathon

Heads up ISEPTAPHILLYers! The Philadelphia Marathon is taking over city streets this weekend and as a result there are a number of bus detours that will be in place on Saturday, 11/19 and Sunday, 11/20.

On Saturday, 11/19 (Philadelphia Half-Marathon, Rothman 8K and Kids Run), SEPTA Routes 2, 4, 7, 16, 17, 23, 27, 31, 32, 33, 38, 43, 44, 45, 47, 47M, 48, 61, 124 and 125 will be detoured beginning at 6a. Buses will return to their regular routes as close to the end of the events as possible.

On Sunday, 11/20 (Philadelphia Marathon), SEPTA Routes 7, 32, 33, 38, 43 and 48 will be placed on detour beginning at 2a to accommodate course set-up and the marathon. Routes K, R, 2, 4, 5, 9, 12, 16, 17, 21, 23,25, 27, 30, 35, 40, 42, 44, 47, 47M, 57, 61, 64, 124 and 125 will begin detours at 6a through the conclusion of the race events on Sunday afternoon. In addition, buses will replace trolleys on Route 10 and 15 to accommodate detours. Buses will return to their regular routes as close to the end of the events as possible.

To avoid delays while traveling through Center City, bus passengers are encouraged to use SEPTA Regional Rail, subways and trolleys where possible. Nearby stations including City Hall on the Broad Street Line; 15th Street on the Market-Frankford Line and for Trolley Routes 11, 13, 34 and 36; and Suburban Station for Regional Rail lines provide easy walking access to the Parkway for runners and spectators.Service updates will be available online and via the @SEPTA Twitterfeed.
