CPR Training at Jefferson Station

August 30, 2018

At home, at work, on a crowded train platform — you never know when or where a medical emergency needing CPR might happen. To help members of the public interested in learning life-saving CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) skills, SEPTA’s System Safety Division is partnering with The Mobile CPR Project at the University of Pennsylvania to provide free hands-only CPR and AED instruction at Jefferson Station on Monday, 9/17, Monday 9/24, and Thursday, 9/27 from 9a to 1p.

Similar to last month's training sessions at Suburban Station, Jefferson Station sessions are open to the general public. Jefferson Station is located on Market Street between 10th and 12th Streets in Center City.

The Mobile CPR Project is part of a collective effort to break down barriers, such as cost, time and location, to provide access to CPR education in Philadelphia. This project travels to groups and teaches hands-only CPR and AED use free of charge. The Mobile CPR Project teaches participants how to recognize cardiac arrest, how to perform proper compressions and what steps you should take as a bystander.
