Women Building SEPTA – Trades & Technical Career Fair

On Saturday, 10/1, SEPTA will host a Women Building SEPTA Trades and Technical Career Fair targeted towards women interested in or currently working within the skilled trade/technical fields. SEPTA managers, technical institutes and community colleges will be available to discuss career paths and opportunities.
As part of SEPTA’s on-going initiative to bring more women into skilled trades, the Authority will perform on-site testing during the job fair for women who meet qualifications for the following positions:
Bus Mechanic
Rail Vehicle Mechanic
Rail Vehicle Electrical/Electronic Maintainer
Building Electrician
Welder
HVAC Maintainer (vehicle and rail facilities)
Construction Equipment Operator
Power Trainee
Signal Trainee
Track General Helper
Please note that all positions require a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or GED.
The Career Fair will take place at SEPTA Headquarters located at 1234 Market Street on the Mezzanine and Concourse Levels from 9a to 1p. Speakers from SEPTA, City of Philadelphia and technical schools are scheduled to begin presentations at 9:30a.
